Reviews for Chelan Teriyaki Bistro
Review highlights
Based on 134 reviewsChelan Teriyaki Bistro is praised for its charming, cozy atmosphere and friendly, attentive service. Located near the scenic river walk, it offers a pleasant dining experience with both indoor and limited outdoor seating. Reviewers appreciate the freshness and balanced seasoning of the teriyaki dishes, with options that cater to vegetarians and gluten-free diners. However, comments reveal some inconsistency in food quality, particularly with the rice texture and meat tenderness. The menu is small but focused, and while the overall food quality is generally good, a few patrons felt it could be improved in portion size and side offerings. The bistro’s intimate setting and welcoming staff remain its notable strengths.
Such a cute little place. I had the chicken /beef and my husband had the shrimp. The food is so good! Best teriyaki ever. The man and woman running it were very nice. Plus it’s right by the beautiful river walk which was where we took our food to eat.
This is a great little restaurant, worthy of supporting. The food tastes very fresh and delicious. It's not over or under-seasoned. The place is fairly small, maybe 6 tables or so with some outside seating. The menu is pretty simple and gull of delicious options. I went for the vegetable and chicken teriyaki and it was great. The rice was very well made and everything looked and tasted great. Service was excellent, very friendly and professional. Highly recommend.
This is a cute little place. Outdoor and indoor seating. Seating is limited! Very small menu but they do have a tofu option for those vegetarians and gluten free options. Food is pretty good. Not extraordinary, but good. They only have bottled drinks. Very friendly staff! We got our food pretty quickly.
Service was great. Clean little place . I ordered a beef and chicken combo for $18. At first I saw the steak cut pieces I was excited but once I bit they were chewy not the best cut. Not alot of food I'd be happy with more rice atleast. Coleslaw was meh. I would like to give it another chance.
Atmosphere was great, service was prompt but the killer of the experience was the white rice. The rice unfortunately was closer to porridge. When it arrived, there were visible bubbles. I think they added too much water when cooking. The rice was so soft you could break each kernel with your tongue on the roof of your mouth essentially turning into paste. The chicken was perfect though but it's compliment wasn't up to par.
My husband and I spend the weekend in Lake Chelan during a big event and after going to several "booked for the night" restaurants found this gem of a place. The food was really fresh, fast and tasty! The friendly prompt service was a delight. We will certainly be back to visit the area and this will be a stop on our agenda. Food was absolutely delicious I had the chicken Teriyaki the rice was perfectly cooked the teriyaki chicken was on point and their slaw had a very fresh element that was incredible. The chicken yakasoba was a little sweet but still delicious. The Spring rolls had a little more breading than I normally liked but we're good, so was the sauce.
